Background

Carol is a 20-year veteran of real estate. She has served the Wenatchee, Washington State real estate market. Wenatchee was ranked as the 2nd fastest growing real estate market in the U.S in a 2006 CNN Money Magazine survey.

Carol wanted a second real estate website that would compliment her existing template driven website (www.TopPropertiesWenatchee.com). She heard about the great benefits of having a real estate blog and how it could help with attracting new clients. She wanted our expertise in blog consulting, search engine optimization, and web design.

Goals

Like many realtors, she wanted to be ranked well for her keywords and increase inquiries for prospective home buyers

Strategy

We attribute our success to developing a methodology for this client. It can be summarized as follows;

  1. Research and prioritize which real estate keywords we want to rank for.
  2. Optimize the site for keywords that are not as competitive but still lucrative otherwise known as longtail marketing.
  3. Develop a website that is both easy to navigate and filled with great information for prospective real estate buyers.
  4. Help realtor develop the most authoritative website for these keywords by implementing a real estate blog. We coached the realtor to develop a proper content strategy that will interests people who are looking for as much up-to-date information on the local real estate market.
  5. Educate the client and make them realize that this is not an overnight solution. Patience and persistency is needed in a long-term online marketing campaign especially when SEO is involved

Results

Within a year of the initial design and consulting, the client doubled her yearly production and income because of the new real estate blog that we implemented.

Her biggest client was a real estate investment group that was looking to buy 3-7 homes on a monthly basis in the Wenatchee area. They had gone through numerous searches on the web for the right realtor but they chose to go with Carol because her of real estate blog and the enormous amount of information that she shared on it. She writes about Wenatchee real estate twice a week. This resulted in looking credible and knowledgeable to this group because all the other real estate websites were very static and showed no differentiation from each other.

Aside from this investment group, there have been numerous smaller buyers who found Carol on the web because of our design and SEO.
